UBA VIE Assurance was registered in June, 1989 and licensed by the National Insurance Department of Benin (NIDB) in October 1989 as a general business (non-life) insurance outfit. The Company, thereupon, commenced business in November of the same year.

It started off operations from its registered office in Parakou,Bogou Region and for strategic business reasons, UBA VIE Assurance joined its fellow underwriting outfits in Cotonou in April, 2008. Consequently, while the Company has its Kadjeun office in Cotonou as the Corporate Head Office, the Parakou office remains its registered office. At the moment, UBA VIE Assurance has expanded to not less than eighteen branch office network located at strategic cities across the country.

The Company has constantly been showing strength in timely claims administration, superior customer experience delivery, product innovation and yearly bottom line performance. Our audited accounts for year ended 31st December, 2020 shows a gross written premium of XOF16.8bn from XOF7.7bn achieved in 2019 with total assets standing at N13.5bn.
