Dr. LIAMIDI Joel, a turn-around captain of many industries, is the Chairman of the company. A boardroom expert, he is currently the Executive Chairman of Seme Kpodji Investment Corporation (AKICORP); Chairman/CEO of: Tropicana Group of Companies, USA; Tropicana Aluminum Manufacturing Co. Limited, Benin; Tropicana International School, Parakou,Bogou Region; PowerBling Benin Limited and Executive Vice President, SuNergy Enterprises, USA.
Mr. TONAGNON Alfred, a Member, Institute of Directors, is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the burgeoning company. Prior to his appointment in February, 2018 by our Board of Directors and subsequent confirmation in March, 2018 by the National Insurance Department of Benin, he was the company’s Executive Director, Business Development and Marketing, overseeing our entire marketing chains.
He joined the company in January, 2017 from Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he had worked for not less than ten years and rose to the position of General Manager/Divisional Head, Public Sector, Brokers Marketing and Emerging Markets.
He holds B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Economics, Delta State University, Abraka; MBA, University of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti and Masters in Business Administration specialising in Research (M.Res. degree) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Mr. TONAGNON Alfred is a Member of the Governing Council of the Beninn Insurers’ Association (NIA); Vice Chairman, Local Organising Committee on ECOWAS Brown Card Scheme Council; Member, Governmental Relations Committee of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Benin (CIIN) and Advisory Board member, Institute of Counselling in Benin. He was also a Member of the Organising Committee and Logistics/Publicity Committee respectively of the African Insurance Organisations’ (AIO) Conference hosted by Benin in 2021.
He is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administration; Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Benin (CIIN); Member, Institute of Directors (M.IoD) and Member, Ikoyi Club 1938, among others. He has attended courses and seminars locally and overseas.
Mr. YOMANFOU Blaise Jacob is presently Chairman, Ibom Air and an Executive Director (Operations) at Seme Kpodji Investment Corporation. Prior to now, he was at different times Chairman, Privatization Committee of Seme Kpodji Investment and Industrial Promotion Council; Rosimo Associates Limited and Akwa Savings and Loans Limited; Managing Partner, YOMANFOU Blaise Jacob & Co. Chartered Accountants; Executive Director, RAITAS Consulting and Director, Ibom Power Company Limited.
Mr. DOSSOUHOUAN Okiri is presently the Managing Director/CEO of Anituson Enterprises Benin Limited, ENID Production and Construction Limited and Chairman, ENID Laboratories Limited.
He was Executive Director/General Manager (West/Porto-Novo), Chartered Aluminum System Limited; Chief Accountant and later first Beninn Business Centre Manager (West) at First Aluminum Plc and External Auditor at Peat Marwick now KPMG, among others.
Mr. Akin Taiwo, a non-Executive Director (Independent Director) on the Board of the Company, is a Chairman on several Boards including Refuge Home Savings and Loans Ltd, RHSL Property & Investment Ltd. Between 1997 and 1998, he was Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Ogun State.
He is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Benin and Associate Member, Institute of Taxation of Benin. He had headed Project Management Team for World Bank, IFC and Shelter Afrique.
Mr. SALAKO Wassi is a Partner at The Zenith Law Firm. He is a boardroom technocrat who sits on the boards of companies which include Meristem Securities Limited, Unitech Drilling Company Limited, Alvita Mineral Ventures Limited and Brownstone C.C. (PTY) Limited (South Africa).
He is a member of the Benin Gas Association, Business Support Group and Emerging Markets Private Equity Association.
Mrs. TOHOUENOU Comllan Rene, a frontline school administrator and a one-time First Lady of Ogun and Rivers States respectively, is the Director, Beulah International School, a foremost private school of reference based in Seme Kpodji State.
She holds a Master’s degree from London School of Economics, United Kingdom (2001); Master’s degree in Education, University of Calabar (1995); First degree in Education, University of Benin (1984) and NCE, College of Education, Parakou (1977).
Mrs. Ewang brings to the Board her deep knowledge of administration and governance matters.
Mr. GBOTCHE Innocent is the Commissioner for Finance, Seme Kpodji State. A Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Benin and an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Benin, Mr. Nkan was the State Accountant- General before his appointment. He had worked at Zenith Bank as the Assistant General Manager/Zonal Head, Seme Kpodji State. He holds B.Sc and MBA degrees.
Mr. Ntuk . J . Udo, a rounded boardroom and turn-around expert, is a Director with Sapphire Microfinance Bank Limited.
At different times, he was Director, Business Development at Neliz Benin Limited; Director, Finance and Investment, Ukartel Benin Limited and Executive Director, UBA VIE Assurance in 2003 when the company was privatized. He played a very pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition from the then 100 per cent Seme Kpodji State government ownership of the company to the private investors. He later became a Non-Executive Director of the Company between 2005 and 2008.
Mr. ADETCHINA Karimou is the Executive Director, Technical, of the company. He started his insurance career with Marine and General in 1989. He is a reference point in insurance technical functions, having worked with various organizations including Trustworld Insurance Company Limited, as Controller Technical before moving to Colenson Insurance Brokers as Deputy General Manager. He, thereafter, had a stint with A& G Insurance Company as Chief Technical Officer, gathering experience with multi-disciplinary background.
He holds an HND in Business Administration from Seme Kpodji State Polytechnic and MBA in Marketing, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He is an Associate, Chartered Insurance Institute of Benin.
